Celebrity Lifestyle Brands Acquires Printex Screen Printers
On June 1, 2016 Celebrity Lifstye Brands (CLB) signed an option agreement with Medford Randal Park to acquire 100% ownership of Printex Inc.
Printex maintains a 165,000 square foot facility with 16 automatic screen printing presses and 110 embroidery heads that support production. The Midwest location provides an advantage from a shipping cost and delivery time. As of June 2016, Printex has fulfilled and shipped over 175,000 units to individuals through our new direct to consumer Pick-Pack-Fulfillment service.
Celebrity Lifestyle Brands side is the fun, sexy side, with T-Rex and Printex the engine behind the door. Printex has been working with a multitude of mass retails fulfilling contract work. Printex production capabilities produce three to four million shirts and sweats per year making them one of the largest and a strategic partner for Celebrity Lifestyle Brands.
Since joining forces with CLB, Printex has turned its focus and improved its profitability by going direct to consumers and handling direct sales. Adjusting their focus allows Printex to augment their business model to cater to one offs by its utilization of Direct to Garment (DTG) and full sublimation printing.
Direct to Garment (DTG) printing is one of the most advanced printing processes. Printex has completed millions of jobs using Brother DTG printers. Brothers are some of the best DTG printers on the market and with them we can create high quality t-shirts in a snap.
Sublimation printing is a process whereby full color images, text and other graphics can be transferred into a receptive item. The process relies on a specialized ‘dye sublimation’ ink, which when heated changes from being a solid dye to being a gas, without passing through a liquid stage.
Printex will also pursue the additional capability of etching on glassware to further enhance its capabilities and personalization strategies. These types of personalization improves its overall profitability and is now becoming more important than its contractual work, which the company will continue to do as needed.
